Invitation for proposals for The Winton Exoplanet Fellowship @ St Andrews
We invite applications from young scientists holding PhDs obtained before 31 October 2018, who are interested in conducting theoretical or observational research in planetary/exoplanetary astronomy in a department affiliated to the St Andrews Centre for Exoplanet Science. To register interest in applying, please send by 26 September 2018, to Christiane Helling (ch80), a single pdf file including:
- A letter of intent with explicit mention of one or two potential faculty hosts
- Curriculum Vitae
- A concise research proposal (1 page, excluding references and figures)
- Publication list
The University will select up to two candidates to collaborate with their faculty hosts on completing the application material and formulating a research proposal to be submitted by 31 October 2018 to Winton Philanthropies.
Candidates are not permitted to participate in multiple applications with different institutions and must be in a position to hold the Fellowship at a UK university.
Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held in London on Tuesday 15 January 2019. The successful applicants will be announced on Monday 21 January 2019. Fellowships must commence within six months of award.
