The Winton Exoplanet Fellowship

Invitation for proposals for The Winton Exoplanet Fellowship @ St Andrews

We invite applications from young scientists holding PhDs obtained before 30 September 2017, who are interested in conducting theoretical or observational research in planetary/exoplanetary astronomy in a department affiliated to the St Andrews Centre for Exoplanet Science. To register interest in applying, please send by 14 July 2017, to Ch. Helling (ch80  at st-and.ac.uk), a single pdf file including:
1.    A letter of intent with explicit mention of one or two potential faculty hosts
2.    Curriculum Vitae
3.     A concise research proposal (1 page, excluding references and figures)
4.    Publication list

The University will select up to two candidates to collaborate with their faculty hosts on completing the application material and formulating a research proposal to be submitted by 1 September 2017 to Winton Philanthropies.

Candidates are not permitted to participate in multiple applications with different institutions and must be in a position to hold the Fellowship at a UK university.

In October 2017 Winton Philanthropies will announce awardees and the fellowships must commence within six months of the award.
